Projektreise der 2as nach London

On Monday, 19 March, early in the morning a bus picked us up from our school at 4 o’clock at night to take us to the airport. We flew from Memmingen to London Stansted. The flight was short but still exciting and we landed at 8 am London time. After we had checked into the Generator hostel, we went for a first walk in the neighbourhood to check out our nearby locations.

During our London trip we had the pleasure to visit Madame Tussaud’s Museum, which hosts wax figures of famous celebrities, the London Eye, Tower Bridge, the British Museum, Tate Modern, St Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace and the Big Ben. London is such a fascinating city and there is always something new to discover, whether it’s sights, people or trendy shops. We also went on a Jack the Ripper tour, which took us to all the places of this well-known serial killer in the East End, as well as on a guided tour to look at samples of London Street Art with a local guide.

Finally, it was a really great and amazing week with a lot of fun. Beside our chance to improve our English skills, we also had the opportunity to get a better knowledge of London and its art, culture and lifestyle. We would like to thank our teachers, Martina Hammerle-Pfurtscheller and Christina Mathis, for accompanying us and making this week perfect for all of us.
